John G. Clay, CPA, CVA
John G. Clay has over twenty years of experience in public accounting working with a wide variety of closely held businesses. He has spent a considerable part of his career concentrating on valuations for gift and estate tax, mergers and acquisitions; and divorce purposes. He is a licensed CPA in the state of Maryland and was designated as a Certified Valuation Analyst in 2002 by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
John often presents succession planning seminars to bankers, business owners and lawyers. Other topics he has presented include financial statements, cash flow analysis, budgeting and forecasting. He graduated from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1989, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the Mid-Atlantic Surety Association and the Associated Builders and Contractors Metro Washington Chapter where he served as the treasurer of ABC Craft Masters Training Trust.
In his free time, John likes to race autocross and play soccer with friends and family.
